Campaigns
The College of New Caledonia Students’ Union expresses the collective voices of students to the College’s Administration and all levels of government – municipal, provincial and federal. We gather students’ opinion, perspectives and feedback through out the year. We also work with other students’ unions across the province through the British Columbia Federation of Students’ to bring together the power of collective student voices.

Power and Empower
A Shakti Campaign
The Power and Empower Campaign is a homegrown campaign that launched in Fall 2024. The focus of the campaign is to Build systems and solutions, Back student ideas and leaders, and Break down systems that work against students' well beings.

The Power and Empower Campaign is aimed to tackle key issues such as student safety, food insecurity, sex education, mental health and to feel comfortable in your own skin.
Fairness For International Students
Due to government underfunding, institutions have come to depend on the revenue they receive from increasing fees for international students as a way of balancing their institution's budgets. However, unpredictable fees makes budgeting impossible for individuals and families, meaning some international students are forced to leave Canada before completing their studies. These figures illustrate that while international university students only account for one fifth of BC university enrolment, they contribute almost half of BC universities’ tuition fee revenue.

Let's Get Consensual
Let’s Get Consensual is a student-led movement to end rape culture on post-secondary campuses across BC. The Let's Get Consensual campaign's mission is to make campuses safer by providing judgment-free consent education and training, and to fight rape culture on campuses. From condoms to consent training, we do this in a number of ways: poster and media campaigns, workshops and training, safer sex supplies, student outreach and engagement, and much more!
Moose Hide Campaign
The Moose Hide Campaign is a grassroots movement of Indigenous and non-Indigenous men and boys who are standing up against violence against women and children. Wearing a moose hide patch signifies your commitment to honour, respect, and protect the women and children in your life and to work together to end violence against women and children. The CNCSU, BC Federation of Students and its member students’ unions strongly agree that everyone must stand together against violence against women and children.
