A scoop of sunshine with a flower accent! Ever wanted an ice cream flavour that is both calming and sweet? Honey Lavender Dream Ice Cream is the ideal combination of creamy, floral, and delicately sweetened goodness—it takes only minutes to make and requires no special equipment! This simple homemade recipe adds a touch of elegance to your dessert game; thanks to honey's natural sweetness and lavender's soothing fragrance. Try it once, and you'll be thinking about it all summer!
Ingredients:
½ cup heavy cream (or full-fat milk)
1 tbsp honey
¼ tsp dried culinary lavender (or ½ tsp lavender syrup)
¼ tsp vanilla extract — 2 cups ice
¼ cup salt (coarse or rock salt).
Instructions:
1. Infuse the Flavour - Warm the heavy cream briefly (microwave for 10 seconds) and mix in the lavender. Allow to infuse for 5 minutes before straining out the lavender pieces.
2. Mix It Up - Add the honey and vanilla essence to the cream. Pour into a small zip lock bag and seal tightly.
3. Shake and freeze: Fill a large zip lock bag with ice and salt, then insert the tiny bag inside. Seal it tightly and shake for about 5 minutes, or until the mixture thickens and forms creamy ice cream. (Wrap the bag in a towel if it becomes too cold to grasp!)
4. Enjoy! - Scoop into a bowl, pour with honey, and enjoy your handcrafted flower delight.
